Mozilla Firefox 3.5 Released
Mozilla has just rolled out a lightning-quick new version of Firefox: 3.5. I’m blow away by how much quicker Firefox 3.5 loads than both its previous rendition and Internet Explorer.

New Found Glory’s “Not Without a Fight”
So I was in Best Buy today to pick something up for my brother and happened to casually skim through the CD section. What is this? Low and behold one of my favorite bands New Found Glory released a new album, “Not Without a Fight” on March 10th. Why the heck didn’t I notice till today?!?
So far my favorite track is #2, “Don’t Let Her Pull You Down”.
WordPress 2.8 Released
Just noticed that WordPress 2.8 has been officially released (was running RC2 on GrassrootsPA.com).
The improvement I’m most excited about? The speed enhancements.
Now onto the speculation re: what 2.9 will entail…
IntenseDebate Implementing Facebook Connect
WOOHOO!!! I got the chance to help IntenseDebate beta test their first Facebook Connect implementation a month or so ago so I’m thrilled to see them ramping up their efforts again. BTW: the guys over at IntenseDebate have been great to work with when things get confusing or bugs arise with their service. And who doesn’t like to test-drive new features? Michael Koenig really makes you feel like part of a robust community rather than a faceless user.
If you aren’t running IntenseDebate on your site (especially if its powered by WordPress), I highly recommend you look into it and hit their blog.
Right now Facebook Connect is up and running on GrassrootsPA (I’ll eventually get it up here).
Wordpress MU & WordPress to Merge
No sooner do I begin to dabble in WordPress MU than I find it will ultimately be merging with regular ‘ol WordPress.
With WordPress 2.8 about to be released, speculation is already growing that the merger will take place as early as WordPress 2.9. Or will it be in WordPress 3.0?
‘Land Of The Lost’ Movie Almost Out
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve been inundated with commercials for the new ‘Land of the Lost’ movie set to open June 5th.
But have you seen the official movie trailer?
On a sidenote, finally caught a couple reruns from the old show. Boy do they make funnyman Will Ferrell’s inclusion in the flick seem that much more ridiculous!
New Wii Version of Punch-Out!! Is A Knockout!!
On Friday I was lucky enough to snag the new Wii version of Punch-Out!!, and boy is it a blast.
Best Buy even offers a free $10 gift card with this VERY well-reviewed game.
The original Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! could get frustratingly tough…in a pretty enjoyable way. For those unfamiliar with the series, after getting your butt kicked a few times by Don Framenco or King Hippo, your patience was suddenly rewarded when you finally nailed their patterns and discovered their weak-spots. There is nothing like getting hopelessly TKOed by a new fighter with a minute left in the first round and then five rematches later, after learning their motions, knocking them repeatedly to the floor out without a mere scratch. Yep, brawlers like Disco Kid literally have rhyme to their reason.
Right now after struggling forever on Bear Hugger I’m yet again stuck on Great Tiger.
My only complaint is knowing in advance that their aren’t more brand-new characters to fight (13 or 14? There really should be at least 20)
LOST Season Finale Hits You With A Double Whammy
The season finale of LOST ended not one, but two major cliffhangers.
Thank goodness for The Tail Section and DarkUFO where speculation on the final season can continue for the next 8 months…
