New Wii Version of Punch-Out!! Is A Knockout!!
On Friday I was lucky enough to snag the new Wii version of Punch-Out!!, and boy is it a blast.
Best Buy even offers a free $10 gift card with this VERY well-reviewed game.
The original Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! could get frustratingly tough…in a pretty enjoyable way. For those unfamiliar with the series, after getting your butt kicked a few times by Don Framenco or King Hippo, your patience was suddenly rewarded when you finally nailed their patterns and discovered their weak-spots. There is nothing like getting hopelessly TKOed by a new fighter with a minute left in the first round and then five rematches later, after learning their motions, knocking them repeatedly to the floor out without a mere scratch. Yep, brawlers like Disco Kid literally have rhyme to their reason.
Right now after struggling forever on Bear Hugger I’m yet again stuck on Great Tiger.
My only complaint is knowing in advance that their aren’t more brand-new characters to fight (13 or 14? There really should be at least 20)
